Since I was born, I used to play in my grandmother's fashion shop in Lisbon, in a noble area, with a lot of movement, and I got used to the art of selling and the way of serving customers in a personalized way. It was a world that fascinated me, and I remember playing at wrapping presents and pretending I was a saleswoman too. I even had a cash register :)

As I grew older, I would always accompany my grandmother on her trips to help to buy clothes for her customers. I would buy for a younger age group, so we started to attract a wider range of customers. I was the one who encouraged the modernisation of the shop, its remodelling and computerisation.

At some point my grandmother left me the shop and it was in 2021 that I launched my brand BIRDSTOCK, with the indispensable help of Francisco who helped me realise this childhood dream of mine. At the time I dedicated myself to making leather belts with unique, custom buckles. Genuine leather, with buckles on which I could place pieces to embellish them and make them unique. Jewellery is also one of my passions and many years ago I took a course at "Contacto Directo" in Jewellery Making. Then I started painting again and thought about creating my own prints.

In the beginning, I invested a lot in drawing materials and did almost everything with acrylics, I tried many different materials and the results pleased me. I found someone to make my own prints on fabric and then I found someone to make them and so I started to sell them in my shop. It was very gratifying to see the customers' acceptance and I felt motivated to go further.

The shop was 53 years old when I eventually sold it earlier this year 2023 and now I want to dedicate myself to selling online.
